My cohost for that episode was Robin Mallory https://www.instagram.com/rgmallo/ Thanks for listening everyone! I was surprised to see that there has been over 3000 listens to the interviews. I hope they have been inspiring and help you on your art journey! If you have any questions or topics you want to hear more about please drop a comment. I've been experimenting on my own personal illustration work, while getting my MFA in Illustration. I decided to use some of my illustrations to make a free downloadable PDF for a bookmark and book plates. If you have little ones or for yourself feel free to download and cut them out. Please do not resell or distribute. All rights belong Nancy Miller Illustration. Thank you!
I'm into season 6 of my podcast interviewing creatives and how and why they create their art. I decided this season should focus on animation. Though I struggled dearly with creating works for my animation class I had so many supportive and friendly classmates in my animation class. Here's the list of accomplished people and I'll be making a recap at the end of what I learned. I seem to get a lot more listens when I do that. I would normally do separate posts for each person, but I'm short of time and have been super busy with personal and side projects. There seems to never been enough time in a day or week for that matter. Really lovely group of people and I hope you'll take the time to listen and check out their work on their sites. Links have been provided below. Thanks for everyone's support and listens to the podcast please like and subscribe! I'm nearing close to 3,000 listens. The more I spend time thinking about my process and making improvements I move up the ladder in leaps and bounds. I made a Youtube Video about How I take my drawings to final digital file. See the video below, and please like and subscribe for future video content about my process!I decided to take an animation course for an elective while working on my MFA. Best thing I could do and boy did it make more work hard! Animators work so hard. Here are 3 animations I posted on my Youtube Channel. I also have video tutorials for Adobe Software we used in class. Met some really nice fellow students in my class. They were so encouraging and provided some great tips! Stay tuned I interviewed some of them for my podcast. See below for the videos and please like and subscribe to my channel.I worked on a cut paper illustration of a dragon reading to some kids and thought I would turn it into a coloring sheet for kids that are stuck at home and want something fun to color. I would like to make some other fun PDF activities in the future. Stay tuned!
Here is the link FUN STUFF. Click Download file to get your PDF to download. I did some work for Apple Sauce Book Publishing recently and the workbook is no available for purchase. I did some spot illustrations in Adobe Illustrator for their numbers workbook for preschool to age 6. Here is a link to their website. https://applesaucebooks.weebly.com/
You can purchase the book on Amazon.com and here is a direct link to the Preschool Numbers Work book. It was a learning experience working with the editorial director, Heather Tietz. She is wonderful to work with and she was willing to allow me a great deal of freedom to work on the illustrations. I did some cute black and white vector illustrations of farm animals, and created the logo design. She is an experienced writer and educator for early education. It's great working with people like that and it makes you feel like you had a hand in creating the final product! I'm looking forward to continue working with Applesauce Books in the future.
